WMNI AM920

WMNI AM920 is in Columbus Ohio. WMNI is Adult Standards with a target of Adults 55+.

When the decision was made to change from Adult Standards to the NewsRadio combo with WMNI-FM, the AM signal was needed to back fill the downtown area where the 103.9 signal was weak.

Since the change, the FCC has granted North American Broadcasting the right to move the 103.9 tower to the west side of Columbus. This move will greatly improve the 103.9 signal into the downtown area and therefore the need for 920 AM to cover the downtown area is no longer there.

With the need no longer there and the loyal listeners of WMNI's previous format asking for us to bring it back, we made the decision that the timing was right to return the station to the previous format.

WMNI AM 920 attracts an active, loyal audience. The music attracts an audience that controls 89% of the nation's wealth. WMNI AM 920 plays the most popular songs from the 50s, 60s and 70s, aimed at the upper end of the Baby Boomer generation. Then, our seasoned personalities make this format really shine, sharing anecdotes about the artists and their songs.
